EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI)

From its homepage: "The EDUCAUSE Learning Initiative (ELI) is a community of higher education institutions and organizations committed to advancing learning through IT innovation." Among the resources offered is a white paper entitled "ensuring the Netgeneration is Net savvy," available at http://www.educause.edu/LibraryDetailPage/666?ID=ELI3006.

There are many wonderful links provided for faculty, taking them, for example, to Darmouth College's Web Teaching site (http://www.dartmouth.edu/~webteach/) or the University of California, Irvine's Teaching Resources page (http://www.irc.uci.edu/TRG/index.html)

Check out ELI. It is reminiscent of MERLOT, described in a previous BLOG entry!

Yes we're out here and yes we're really too busy! Did you happen to see the recent (10/06) AP article in the news about an organization that works to increase Americans' time off? Unfortunately, because life is so fast I did not get the name of the organization, but the upshot was that we work an average of 9 more weeks/year than other industrialized nations! The organization was suffering because no one has time to support it! Keep blogging, though. Bob Carlson.
