New New England Reference tool
The Encyclopedia of New England, published by Yale University Press, in 2005 is now available.

Saint Joseph's College isn't in the encyclopedia at all, not even listed in the entry on Catholic colleges & universities. Only the large universities such as Holy Cross received any mention. Regardless of such an oversight (!) this is a wonderful volume for anyone looking into areas of history in New England. A minimum of one bibliographical reference is provided for each entry, usually more.
One section is entitled "Images and Ideas" that covers such topics as the Maine Coon Cat, covered bridges, etc.
Come on in and enjoy!
